This last weekend was so much fun.  But I think I still have some sleep deprivation!  Matt and I traveled to Holmesville, OH to meet up with about 30 other photographers from Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Indiana.  I love these meet-ups because not only do I get to spend time with other people who share my passion…but I get to learn from others who know far more than I.

This year, Matt and I even got to teach a pet photography class.  It was so much fun.  And while I was fearing that no one would care…I had several people tell me they got a lot out of it.  So that made me feel good…knowing that I have helped other photographers to become better and learn more about their craft.

And being that it was a photography conference…I have a TON of images to share with you.  We’ll start with what 30 photographers thirsty for knowledge look like…

I have spent the last 3 weekends shooting non-stop.  And it’s been awesome!  I’ve had so much fun…added so much to my portfolio…and met some cool new people.  Here’s a rundown of what’s been goin’ on…

Two weekends ago, Matt and I and our photography buddy Courtney shot the wedding of Kyle & Laurie (or Lyle & Kaurie if you ask Matt).  It was absolutely beautiful.  I’ve shot several weddings…but this is one of the ones I will remember forever.  These two had so much love and respect for one another.  And I’ve never seen such an amazing display of faith in a wedding before.  Here are some of my favorite images…

Then last weekend Matt and I loaded up Addi, Ivy, and Naula for trip to my parents’ house.  Matt is performing my brother’s wedding ceremony in October, so we had to do some pre-marital counseling and an engagement session.  And of course, I can’t go home and not photography my nephew, Hunter.  Here are some of my favorite pics from this trip…

Then this weekend we shot a senior session for Brandon on Saturday (Matt is always my lead photographer when it comes to boys.  He’s much better at posing them than I am.)  And on Sunday, I went out and shot with two friends of mine just for fun.  We did a “Trash the Dress” day and took 6 models all over Lebanon just having fun.  Here are this weekend’s photos…

Oh…but let me just point out…that’s not all there is to it!

We are taking part in an Open House at Grinder’s Coffee Company in Maineville this Sunday, March 8th from 1-3pm.  In addition to Ashley Johnson Photography, there will be at least 6 other women-owned businesses there…offering special bonuses and giving out some awesome door prizes!!!  And Grinder’s does have the best coffee on earth…no question!
