Tonight, while Matt was cooking dinner, we let all the dogs chill with us on the back porch. I took the opportunity to snap a few shots…

Willow…pit bull foster #1

Naula (pronounced NOO-lah)…pit bull foster #2

Isn’t she a horrible beast? (Rolling eyes)

You’ve heard of Cesar Millan…well, meet Matt Johnson, dog trainer extraordinaire.

It was an absolutely exciting and exhausting weekend. We started out spending all day Saturday at It’s a Pet Affair in Dayton, Kentucky. We had a booth there along with several other local shelters and pet vendors. It was a hot and windy day. So hot that I ended up completely fried, even though I spent the whole day under our tent. And so windy that our tent, along with about 5-6 other tents, blew over and broke. But we were still able to meet a lot of local pet owners as well as bring some awareness to Bark Ark Bully Rescue. Here are a few snapshots from the day…
I think I forgot to mention that Addi got into a little scuffle with one of the other dogs, and now has 2 staples in her paw to keep her wound closed. She had to come w/ us because I didn’t want her sitting at home unattended licking at her wound.

Here’s Willow…doing what she did all day. She’s one of our current fosters through Bark Ark. We took her to get her some exposure to the public. We may have even found a new home for her.

And this is Willow’s “Adopt Me” bandana, compliments of the ladies at the Sheltered Paws booth.

This is Addison sniffing a goat. That was an interesting experience. You could see the wheels in her head spinning going “What kind of weird looking dog is this?”

These were some of our neighbors at the German Shepherd Rescue in the next booth over.

And these are compliments of Joseph…our assistant.

Cute puppy from Bark Ark. Again, compliments of Joseph.

Then on Sunday, we were the official photographer for the Schnauzer Rescue of Cincinnati First Annual Picnic at Camp Bow Wow. They are such a nice group of people who were nothing if not 100% hospitable to Matt, our assistant Joseph, and I. While I can’t post any studio shots, since the owners haven’t seen their photos yet…I can post a few of the candid photos that Matt took. Enjoy!

Matt and I will be down in Dayton, Kentucky all day tomorrow for the annual It’s a Pet Affair to benefit Stray Animal Adoption Program (SAAP). We will also have Willow, one of our fosters, with us. So if you’re free…come check it out. It’s gonna be a really fun pet-loving event. We hope to see you there.

This past weekend Matt and I were at Moochie’s at the Kenwood Mall promoting our photography and we decided to bring home a little gift for our cats. It’s the awesomest cat toy I’ve ever seen. It’s called Fling-ama-String and the cats love it. It’s actually a really good cat-sitter. It keeps them occupied and out of trouble.

If you have an active cat, I highly recommend this toy.
